Before I was a Mom....

Before I was a Mom, I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom, I had never been puked on. Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on. I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts. I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom, I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests. Or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom, I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom, I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy. Before I was a Mom, I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay. I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom. I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom .

Mom's 60th

On Sunday we all went out to dinner to the Lobster Shop for Mom's 60th. Aunt Jean and Uncle Rick drove over from Spokane. Mom was so surprised. Aunt Jean - don't forget to send me the pictures (I forgot my camera).
Mom - thanks for all that you do. We love you very much.
Love - Melinda, Phillip, Tristan, and Canyon

Mother (Me) Knows Best

Last weekend I bought both of the boys a bouncy ball. I told them to keep it downstairs or else they were going to get them taken away. Tristan decided to play with his in the kitchen. I don't know how many times I told him not to. Anyway, he ended up falling off of the ball and gave himself a fat lip.

Just a picture of Canyon

Canyon loves to put on our shoes. He thinks that he is so funny....

Haircut

It seems like it's been a lot longer than 6 weeks since Tristan got a hair cut. We asked Chris to cut it shorter on top. He looks so grown up.

Tristan's School Program

On Thursday we went to Tristan's "rescheduled" Christmas program. Mr. Canyon acted as if he was apart of Tristan's class. I think that he had more fun. He is going to be our class clown.

Happy 21st Birthday Donny

I met Donny when he was 10, this past weekend, we celebrated his 21st birthday. The years have flown by. We went down to the Beach like good old times. It's was kind of weird to see him take a shot with his dad and three uncles. Reno here we come!!!

Christmas 2008

I can't believe that it's been 10 days since my last post. It's been crazy around the Ringrose household.
Phillip and I hosted our first Christmas Eve. The Johnson's couldn't make it (they were snowed in) and The Ostrander's were at Mike's brothers house. Overall it was a mello evening. Christmas morning we opened our gifts from Santa, went to my parents house for breakfast, came home to nap and then went back to my parents house for dinner.
Five pounds later, I am still feeling pretty darn full.
Merry Christmas.

Smile

It is so hard to get a picture of these boys together. So, I have to take them one at a time.
At least Canyon likes to say "cheese".

Santa Visit 2008

Today we took the kids to see Santa. I am so proud of them. No tears, no screams, and no complaining. Tristan even told Santa what he wanted. Happy Holidays.

I only left for 10 mins

Before I went to the store (to get the little guy some Tylenol) Daddy was getting Canyon out of his bath. When I came home, he was back in the tub with his pj's on. I guess he is too quick for his daddy. Gotta love those boys.

Christmas Tree

Yesterday we cut down our 2008 Christmas tree. We missed the rain storm by 15 mins.
We had a wonderful time and was so thankful that we didn't have to push any kids this year in the stroller.

Check out the Coug ornament:)
